, the Fired Earth storefront is under offer too, apparently

Fired Earth as a whole went into administration unfortunately - doesn't seem to have been a Dulwich problem specifically.

Does anyone know how much the rent is for these Dulwich Village storefronts?

Dulwich Village update: The old DVillage location is (again?) under offer.

The storefront next to the new grocer is going to open as a yoga and pilates studio...the name of which I've forgotten. 🤦‍♂️

Megan's is starting to push its takeaway coffee and cannibalise some of Redemption Coffee's market share. Is Megan's struggling? It's quite a big restaurant they have and rent cant be cheap. The reinventing of the Megan's branch on Lordship Lane as Ollie's seems to have stalled.

And Redemption is looking a bit tired these days...

What is Ollie’s?

Ollie's is another restaurant concept from the same people that do the Megan's chain. It was pretty mercilessly mocked on a thread somewhere on here. The Megan's branch on Lordship Lane closed not that long after it opened for a rebirth as an Ollie's, but it didnt seem to have happened last time I noticed.

The Crown & Greyhound is closed until Thu 19 March for renovations (and staff training, hopefully...).

The Romeo Jones booze and entertainment licence application closes for comments sometime this week. Simba Dulwich Ltd is the applicant.

I swerved Megan’s.  I miss Romeo Jones and the charming friendly owner.

    • Many of you will recall my previous posts seeking recommendation of local eateries for a family meal. Having vegetarians, those who cannot take dairy products or  are gluten intolerant  we  were looking at a menu which could accommodate everyone's requirements. Having been to Love Dulwich twice in t he past for lunch, we went again and discovered that we could reserve for 10 people (would have been 12 ). I am pleased to say Love Dulwich did not disappoint - a wide choice, beautifully cooked and presented, adults and kids loved the food. We booked for 7 pm and were surprised at the number of people already dining there, with several more coming through the evening. Service was good and coped well with multiple orders. Well recommended.

    • This leaflet has the tone of a social media post emanating from Mar-a-Largo at 2am. The Lib Dems adopting the vernacular of the far right. Truly shameful.  What constitutes a RADICAL MARXIST? Is that distinct from a moderate marxist (lower case)? Cultural Marxist is used in right-wing circles as code to disparage Jews. So, exactly what is a RADICAL MARXIST, Lib Dems? Perhaps James Barber could pop like a low-rent (but equally annoying) Microsoft paperclip to explain: “Hi, looks like you’re thinking of voting for a Marxist…”
    • lol! The Greens have picked up a bunch of support into the last few months precisely because they have gone much further to the left. If you wanted a leaflet that made disaffected Labour voters aware that there was a leftist alternative to Labour in Dulwich, and to reassure mainstream Labour voters feel like the Corbynite fringe was fucking off at long last, then this is what it would look like.  Meanwhile the Lib Dems' solution to SEND and social care funding crises, a failure to build any private or social housing, climate change and all the rest is..."community wardens". 🤣 They really seem to be out of tune with the state of the country at the moment: it's crazy that they could have observed the comms failure of Starmer's incremental managerialism and thought to themselves, "you know what people want? More of that attitude, but with even less impact".
