Pearly Kings and Queens originated in London in the 1800s from Henry Croft, the 1st Pearly King and a costermonger from Kings Cross.

With their distinctive and unique clothes stitched with hundreds of pearly buttons they fundraise often on the streets for charities and can be seen in Covent Garden and the Guildhall London.
