Murphy Bed

Has anyone had a Murphy bed built for them, or bought and installed themselves?

Any particular issues or tips or pointers please?

I’ve thought of one for my small yet double sized second bedroom in a two bedroom 1990s built house. It would be a guest bedroom. With the high cost for a built in one that looks nice, I ended up buying an IKEA sofa bed.

Possibly a little specialist (and the ultimate eventual clothes horse unless you're into fitness!) but we have the Pivot: PIVOT | Ultimate Space-Saving Bed & Home Gym Solution

It's a full weight Olympic squat rack which pulls down from the wall into a double/king bed. When we bought it as a Kickstarter project it was less expensive than a murphy bed from places like the Wall Bed Company, though this may no longer be the case. Super easy to put together ourselves.
