I really hope you don't mind me putting up this post but as so many Family Room users have come to Powerpramming over the last 8.5 years I wanted to share some news with you.

I just wanted to let you know that after 8 and a half years of running Powerpramming in Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye some lovely new instructors will now be taking the classes. I will still be very much involved so please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about them.

Kellie Moore will be taking the Monday class at 12.30 on Peckham Rye

and

Zoe Baggi will be taking the Dulwich Park class on Thursdays at 10am.

Powerpramming is a post natal exercise class that is designed for mums with babies in prams. We do all the exercise outdoors and take shelter under trees and anywhere else when needed e.g. when it rains.

It is not a hardcore bootcamp style class because that is not appropriate for the post natal body. It is a workout that you can adapt to suit your needs. You can take it easy in the early days or after a rough night with your baby or work really hard when you feel energetic. We work on cardio, strength and toning, balance, core stability and pelvic floor strength. Helping you to regain prepregnancy posture and fitness. Some participants from Powerpramming have said they have ended up even fitter that they were before pregnancy after doing the classes.

I'd just like to say 'thanks' to all the lovely mums and dads I've met over the years while I have taught the sessions. I hope you are all still keeping fit :-)

Classes are:

Mondays 12.30 Peckham Rye

Thursday 10 Dulwich Park

?6.50 PAYG

?30 for 5 sessions

?50 for 10 sessions

There is no need to book. More info is on www.powerpramming.co.uk

    • Before going to Social Media it is always worth checking out the details: Southwark's spending for this year: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/council-tax/how-we-manage-council-tax/our-budget-and-how-we-spend-council-tax/our-income-and As you will see, as with most if not all London Boroughs, shed loads goes on social care and children's services.  The cost of paying for residential care, and for 'specialist schools is massive.  As with other boroughs they have been hit hard by austerity under the coalition government.  And the failure by successive governments to sort out social care.  That is a thread all in its own rights. Local authorities of all political persuasions across England are facing tough times, several have gone into administration: Birmingham, Woking, Thurrock, Croydon, Slough, Northamptonshire, and Nottingham and 11 are on bailouts.   Covid will not have helped.  Some will have made some poor investment decisions in the past eg Thurrock and Woking;  Some total mismanagement and one has been hit by historical debt through not paying their workers fairly (Brum).   Reform promise simple solutions to cutting spending.  Not that easy is it Nige?
