LibbyGreen
This morning (Saturday) we drove through the end of the congestion charge area at the Elephant 11.59. As it is chargeable from 12 noon & it was such a close thing, does anyone know if there’s a way to check whether we have to pay it or not? malumbu
I'm sure they take calls, TfL is a bit old school. Register your vehicle for automatic payment should a similar thing happen in the future. I got caught on Xmas eve ten years ago stupidly thinking it was the holiday period. Only time time I've ever driven through it during the charging period. You can go through E and C if you stay in the ring road but it's a bit convoluted. As others will know from threads elsewhere I usually take public transport or cycle but that is not relevant to your question. LibbyGreen
Thanks for your reply Malumbu. We are registered for auto payment but I just realised the card has expired so have added a new one so hope it’s not too late. Will be interested to see if anyone else has been in a similar situation. malumbu
I think they are fairly reasonable in this situation. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/358918-drove-through-end-of-congestion-charge-area-at-1159-on-sat/#findComment-1700810 Share on other sites
