Primavera at The Meeting House - Sardinian pop-up

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

This is Antonio from Capo Caccia Fine Food.

We're organizing a Sardinian dinner, in a new cafe in Peckham, not far from East Dulwich and we'd like to invite you.

I wrote a few words about the event below. Please let me know if you have any question:

Capo Caccia returns to South with a new date for our popular Cena Sarda, a Sardinian Dinner, on Friday the 4th of April! This time we are teaming up with our friends at the Meeting House in Peckham and one of our favourite chefs, Tiberio Simonelli aka Paisan; a very talented chef, great person and big passion for food, fine food!

PAISAN is a pop-up and pastificio taking a playful and nostalgic approach to regional Italian cooking, focussing on seasonality, bold flavour and provenance. Trained as a pastaio, chef Tiberio Simonelli brings experience from some of London’s favourite independent restaurants, including Rita’s, Fallow, Carousel and Tata Eatery/TOU. Expect creative and thoughtful dishes inspired by classical recipes rooted in the culinary traditions of the peninsula, showcasing local Italian specialities and quality produce from the seas and fields of the British Isles.

In the heart of Peckham is The Meeting House, a small, intimate cafetteria, run by Filippo and his son Giacomo, serving speciality coffee, great wines and beers and delicious homemade, Italian inspired, food. Authentic and completely charming, their lasagna is unforgettable and the tiramisu to die for.

A fantastic five course menu will be prepared by Paisan, using Capo Caccia products and drawing inspiration from Sardinian local recipes, to create a food experience with impeccable, reach and delicious flavours!

We’re looking forward to bringing a taste of beautiful Sardinia to lovely South East London. 😊

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
    • Nice topic and nice song!  1) Definitely top of Canonbie, looking North. 2) What used to be Francesca Cabrini school at the top of FHR. 3) Honor Oak playground, next to Camberwell New cemetery.
