micah627
I've lost my Iphone yesterday afternoon and track it's location via Find my iphone app on my Mac, I found out that it's last location was on our street and was even giving a house number, can I knock thier door and ask if they have my iphone and ask if they want to return it? Prior to this, I keep on calling it and it just keep on ringing, even send a text but no reply at all...Now I have to block the SIM... curlykaren
You should also be able to make the phone 'scream' why not try that and see if you can hear it from outside? Otherwise I guess you inform the police, you have no idea what trouble might be waiting for you on the other side of the door? Good luck Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35907-find-my-iphone-app/#findComment-675226 Share on other sites
reeko
Be careful, often the location is not very accurate. Is it possible the phone is in your house and on silent. Have done this many a time myself. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35907-find-my-iphone-app/#findComment-675239 Share on other sites
GinaG3
Have you tried sending a message via the find my iphone app, or triggering the alarm? I would not knock on someones door. I have tracked a range of apple products before and while it is accurate, its not capable of giving you a pinpoint location. My guess is, you've dropped it in the street and its still there, or someone has picked it up (waiting to hand it in, or not) or its in your house given its proximity to your address. I would use the message tool to display a message saying something along the lines of 'If found, please call XXXXX on XXXXXX'. Hope the device is on and see if you get anything. If not also try the alarm and see if you can hear it in your address or any location along your street. You be kicked in a bush, or under someones gate and have gone undetected. The tool is very useful and every bit of the app is worth a go. Blackcurrant
Same happened to me and the phone turned out to be in the boot of my car under luggage. For a while I was convinced it was in a neighbour's house. Keep looking for it. sandyman
Stand as close to the front door of the house where you think the phone is and trigger the alarm. Though if you do hear it I'm not sure what you should do next? Text them asking to return it? Knock? Call police? That's your, pardon the pun, call.
