U.S. University Admissions Mentoring – Calm, Personal One-to-One Guidance

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I work one-to-one with UK students applying to U.S. universities and support a small number of families each year in the Dulwich area and beyond. I’ve helped students navigate successful applications to both Ivy League universities and top U.S. liberal arts colleges. I support students with everything from building a university list and planning extracurriculars to crafting strong, personal essays—which are very different from the UK’s personal statement. I pay particular attention to helping students find the universities where they’ll thrive—not just the most recognisable names.

The U.S. application process is also very different from UCAS—more holistic, more narrative-driven, and it starts earlier than many families expect. I’ve worked with students from independent schools applying to both U.S. and UK universities, and while I focus solely on the U.S. side, I help structure timelines that fit around GCSEs, A Levels, and UCAS so everything feels manageable.

Ideally, students begin the U.S. process before their final year—especially if applying Early Decision—but if you're aiming for 2026-2027 entry, there’s still time to create a thoughtful, well-paced plan by starting this summer.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation for any families who are curious.

Feel free to DM me if you’d like to chat. 😀

    • Absolutely gutted to hear that Dell Autos in Hansler Road is closing tomorrow. They have MOTed my ancient 1998 Micra for years, and have always been brilliant. Wishing them all the best of luck in their retirement. Wishing all their customers (including me) luck in finding another garage as honest, helpful, efficient and friendly as they were.
