John Lewis Glass TV Stand - £40

Recommended Posts

Perfect condition TV stand. I bought new about 4 years ago from John Lewis. Was perfect for my 42" TV which I've now decided to wall mount.

It's very solid and although appears identical to the 'SDC1000 Classic Corner TV Stand' they currently sell for £99.99 (clear glass, the black glass is the £69.99, but I think the clear looks better), mine is slightly smaller when I compared dimensions.

The cable guide holes at rear on this model are very useful, keeps them all tidy.

Possibly because 50" TV's, as the latest one is advertised for, were too expensive 4 years ago, but the glass is thick and strong enough to possibly siupport a larger TV, my opinion.

My photos were taken daytime and night time time as glass surfaces made it difficult to get a good pic, but do show it's in perfect condition. As I mentioned, it's only because I've recently wall mounted my TV that it sadly has to go to a new home.

Size as follows:

W 80 cms

D 45  cms

H 51.5 cms

It's heavy! But does come apart if needed, as it originally came flat packed.

I'm in West Dulwich.

I'm asking £40.

    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
    • We had shutters and roller blind supplied and fitted by Affordable Shutters when we first moved into our house in 2012 and highly recommend them. One of the poles and a couple of shutter staples recently came loose and they scheduled in a visit when they were in the area at no charge. Lovely customer service, great quality, honestly cannot fault their service (shutters are made to measure so you have to wait but they're worth waiting for). https://affordableshutters.co.uk/
