Manufacturer’s description:

Best served when "it's too cold" just isn't an option.

West's premium top of the line suit, the 4/3 Fluid Lotus goes above and beyond the call of duty to bring you some heavy cold protection. Made out of a 100% Ultraspan Limestone Based Neoprene, every suit is made of SUPER stretchy neoprene for maximum mobility and flexibility---so you can save your energy for paddling instead of fighting against your suit.

The 4/3 represents the neoprene thickness. 4mm body, or main torso, thickness and 3mm thickness for the arms and legs. A 4/3 keeps you warm in all but the most extreme cases--so if you're crazy enough to be surfing in the arctic with the icebergs, penguins, and Deadliest Catch crew, you'll wanna take a look at this 6/5/4 wetsuit. Everyone else, keep reading.

The fluid lotus comes in chest and backzip. Backzip is more common---a lot of people people don't like the feeling of a zipper on their chest as they paddle, but if the little bit of cold water going down your back when you duck dive is something you hate, the chest zip is the one you want. Just let us know if you have a preference.

The seams on this wetsuit are triple glued and blind stitched, and then sealed with Fluid Seam technology (liquid tape). This means the wetsuit is completely sealed and keeps the seams water tight, limiting the amount of water that enters the wetsuit. Extra taping on high stress areas means you don't have to worry about a seam tearing out from extra movement.

Also standard on the Fluid Lotus is West's Pyro-fiber fabric in the chest area. Pyro-fiber is a moisture wicking and insulating layer that keeps your upper body toasty even in the chilliest conditions.

An extra flap of super thin neoprene that is attached to the inside back of the wetsuit (called a batwing), goes up and over your head and prevents water from rushing down your back when you dive under a wave.

Extra watertight embossing seals around the ankles and wrists preventing water from rushing up while the "Forte" collar closure keeps the neck of this wetsuit comfortable, warm and closed off from the elements.

Seamless shoulders and underarm panels keep the wetsuit from rubbing weird and causing uncomfortable chafing in the highest movement areas. The last thing you want is a weird looking, painful rash on your inner thighs from a loose seam.

A special fabric layer on the chest and back, called Thermal Mesh Glide Skin, provides an extra layer of insulation and gives you extra grip on the surfboard when you are laying down.

The neoprene is pre-bent in the arms and legs for an extra level of flexibility as well as having a panel behind the knees that reduces fabric bunching. Reinforced knee pads to protect the knees from wear and tear.

Key holder so that you can stash your car key on yourself instead of the bushes.

YKK zippers means consistent watertight closure every time.

And the best feature of this wetsuit like all of West's wetsuits is the unconditional lifetime guarantee on all seams from tearing out. This is huge because the wetsuit seams and seam tearage are the the single more problematic part of any wetsuit. What does that mean for you? You'll never have to buy another wetsuit.

This is BY FAR the best priced high-end wetsuit on the market today.

    • 13.11.25 - Had an internal blockage in our kitchen, which I had tried to fix myself but to no avail. Found TD Plumbfix Solutions via the East Dulwich Forum and within an hour of making contact, Troy had sent one of his team to have a look. They were absolutely brilliant, from start to finish. Kept me informed of what they were doing, gave me a few tips on future do and don'ts, and finished the job in such a way that should make it easy for me to fix should the problem arise in the future.  Intend using again in near future for a couple of small jobs and would wholly recommend this firm to anyone.
    • Typically the way 'family run businesses' operate is either to have family members continue the business, or to sell on, either as a site (in this instance) or as a going concern. Either which way this is the way the owners create a 'pension' from the business. The number of suggestions as to alternatives makes me feel that the market for small repairing garages locally may be well served, so selling on the site makes the best financial sense for the owners. It's a sign not of the times but of normal business realities.
    • I agree it's a shame, but it is not a "sign of the times", unless you think that up to now people have never grown older and retired!
