Trump changes his mind as often as the clock ticks. The man is an egotistical buffoon, similar in ways to Starmer, another egotistical, do as I say, not as I do, wedged to the hilt hypocrite who still thinks he's Head of the DPP not the first minister.

Certainly don't want beef from the US, it'll hurt our own beef production farmers, revered around the world as the very best with the quality of British and especially prime Angus Scotch Beef.

Just don't export to the US and only import from there what is essentially necessary.

Surely consumers gave the good sense to make good decisions, eg on animal welfare, sustainability and the like.  Oh, wait a second......

Now I get that you aren't a fan of Starmer but I am gobsmacked you compare him to Trump. Now Faradge and Trump.  That's a different subject.  Misspelling on purpose to reclaim his hard 'g'.

Yep, you're correct, don't care for Trump or Starmer or Farage, all nasty, self serving, over entitled, wedged to the hilt wannabe politicians, who are a disaster for their respective countries, populations and the world as a whole. You can add Putin to that list as well.

It's not who I admire, it's who's best to turn this country around and solve the multitude of problems the population experiences on a daily basis. People's pockets are only so deep and can only afford so much before they eventually have to rely on the State and that costs even more. The Cost of living spiralling, although inflation is apparently falling, right, yeah, NOT. Taxed to the hilt, wages/pensions not rising sufficiently to keep up, resulting in unemployment increasing, businesses not able to afford to keep or take on staff. It's a rollercoaster that is hard if not impossible to stop.

So you prefer to just complain and moan ad nauseum without ever being able to point to a better path?

as a country we are not taxed to the hilt. Not historically in this country or by comparing to other countries.

where are you getting inflation is falling from - it’s been a bit up and down for a while but not really trending downward.  But even if it was, real world prices lag behind - but it’s not universal - so things like rent could continue to spiral

I would pronounce it to rhyme with garage.

But only the first g in garage is a "hard" g?

The second one is a "soft" g whether you pronounce it "j" or (not sure how to write it, but even softer, like a cross between "sh" and "j"?)

So surely Malumbu's hard g in Farage would be like the first g in garage, not the second one?

I can't believe I am wasting my time writing this irrelevant drivel 🤣

Nope, not "complaining or moaning", stating an opinion.

Tax - yes we are taxed to the hilt, the threshold is £12570, Govts not increasing this means more and more people get dragged into paying tax. HMRC are a joke, even if you're below that figure they take tax that has to be claimed back as its wrongly deducted.

Inflation is supposedly dropping, the reality in the shops is the total opposite, week on week almost, prices increase, utilities increase etc.

I don't want to live under a left wing govt, if you do, suggest you try living in Russia.

If you want to talk about tax you have to contextualise it - this is not a highly taxed country

but it is a country that needs money - so what do you propose?

if you dk t want to live under a left wing govt that’s your choice but how do we get from left wing govt to Russia?

you make no sense

I'm glad we agree on at least one thing, Cancerian 😀!

How do you think Farage should be pronounced, then?

Do you agree with Malumbu?

What do you think is a "hard g" ?

Good to be discussing the important issues of our time 😀

I know someone who went to Dulwich College with him.  It was a hard G.  I'd love to know why he changed pronunciation to the continental way.  Monsieur Neejal Farrrajeux

    • Where did I say he did a good job? Yup and Corbyn was very close to Len McCluskey and funded by Unite wasn't he...they're all as bad as each other... Labour have to purge their party of the far-left - they're a disaster. Allan Johnson summed it up so well on election night in 2019....
    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
