The fact is, high spec phones are worth money.

Be secure - passwords, face recognition, strong passwords for your banking etc.

Get your phones backed up.

Get your phone insured.

Don't fight if you are being robbed.

It’s just a phone. Be safe.

Annoying as it is, it’s prolific and you can take steps to minimise your chance of being targeted.

Just saw one of them on lordship lane scanning the area on the sidewalks in a hood and mask on an e-bike.

I just pointed at them pretending that I was on the phone with the cops and he darted away.

Absolute scum. Hard problem to solve. I'm hopeful there are strategies in place to keep our community safe for this but it's troubling.

Try pavement, this is London, not the US.

The Mayor increased his proportion of council tax in 2025/26 to pay for "more" haha PC's but my understanding is they were cut not increased. A ruse by the Mayor to take more and give nothing in return.

Troubling and far too common here.

Just be careful where you get it out

    • Thanks for the advice.  In the end I left the HDMI cable in the HDMI ARC socket but changed the audio output to PCM(stereo or 5.1) in the virgin menu, did a restart and that did the trick. So double thanks to Ianr.  I did do an AI search but didn't go in depth enough so thanks for doing that. 🤝
