If you have recently sold your flat in East Dulwich what was the difference between valuation and eventual selling price? I’m finding that agent valuations vary so widely that it’s hard to get any idea of current actual property values.  Are any agents particularly known for overvaluing and by what sort of percentage?

Foxtons is well known for overvaluing.
A good approach is to contact 3 agents in your area and ask them to do a valuation. If you see notable differences ask them to explain, they shouldn’t mind doing that. Look at who is often selling local flats similar to yours on Rightmove or Zoopla.

Been buying it for many years but only recently was thinking of giving it a miss as over the past couple of years it had become too politicised. Their South London Opinion page was particularly biased.
