Experienced KS3, KS4 (GCSE) and KS5 (A-level) English tutor available for tutoring and homeschooling

I am an experienced secondary and A-level English teacher and tutor, formally full-time at Harris Girls’ Academy East Dulwich. With a strong track record of helping GCSE students achieve way beyond their targets, I use the interests of my students to guide learning and to ensure that reading and writing is enjoyable. I am guided by the principle that literature should provide both ‘windows’ and ‘mirrors’ into the human experience, crucially building the empathy needed to navigate our polarised world. 

My background is in Art History but I retrained as an English teacher at Goldsmiths University in 2020. With five years’ experience in mainstream secondary education, I’m familiar with a range of exams boards and texts, and am particularly passionate about broadening choices offered to students.
