Vapour Panel Foil Backed Plasterboard T/E - 2.4m x 1.2m x 12.5mm is suitable for interior drywall applications in areas of humidity. Available in 12.5mm thickness, tapered edge (TE) and a laminated Aluminium foil applied on the back face that acts as a vapour barrier and guarantees protection against surface humidity. Plasterboard composed of a non-combustible gypsum core with grey paper on front face.

Foil backed sheets are the same as normal plasterboard, except for a thin layer of foil that is applied to the back of the board. They are used for wall and ceiling linings where an effective vapour barrier, as well as a plasterboard lining, are required. This foil sheet acts as a vapour barrier, it is intended to stop moisture from penetrating through the boards. Its goal is to offer a layer of protection from water that may penetrate to the internal surfaces in your home.

The VAPOUR plasterboard can be used in applications that require direct mechanical attachment to wood or metal structures in or pasted with adhesives.

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
