intexasatthe moment
Interesting piece on World Service this am ,basically acknowledging how hard it is to get medicine into small children .Quote this study ( though I think any mother knows already ) http://adc.bmj.com/content/98/9/725.full?sid=8c355f74-e26f-473b-81a6-fdddc3091708 that liquid is not easier .( as a mother ,child long past infancy but I now have various swallowing issues of my own and totally agree with idea of mini pills ,especially with dollop of custard/fromage frais/greek yoghurt as easier than disgusting syrups 0 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/36319-getting-medicine-into-pre-schoolers/ Share on other sites
Jessie
Yep, my son's tonsiliitis turned into septicaemia a few years back, partially i think because he spat out quite a lot of the medicine. Now nearly 9 he is prescribed pills by the docs instead, and it has made my life when he is ill 100 x easier. intexasatthe moment
Funny isn't it that these studies are so often needed to confirm what we already know ?Guess scientific rigour v. anecdotal ,but can be trying .
