I am a qualified (PGCE, MA, BA) & experienced (21 years) secondary English teacher offering one-to-one bespoke tuition. I am happy to teach your child in my own home or online. I work in an academically selective London day school and I have a great deal of successful experience in preparing children for entrance as well as public exams.  I have experience of various SEND, and do not see this as a barrier to success. I am on the DBS update service, hold a British passport, have a teacher reference number and can offer numerous testimonials. I am passionate about English and always encourage  a love of reading and a deeply conceptual response to texts, as well as the all-important exam skills. I impart confidence and engender fast effective progress through a warm, friendly and academically focused style.  My rate is £70ph, inclusive of marking, prep and planning.
