Full/Part-Time Live-Out Nanny – West Dulwich, London

Start Date: Late August 2025
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Children: One toddler (15 months old) and a newborn (due mid-September)
Location: West Dulwich, SE21
Pets: One friendly Chocolate Labrador (dog-lovers only!)

We are a warm, growing family based in West Dulwich looking for an experienced, nurturing, and proactive live-out nanny to join us long-term as we welcome our second child in September 2025.

Our cheerful and curious 15-month-old son will soon be joined by a newborn sibling. We’re seeking someone who can support both children, often caring for one at a time (alternating half or full days). A flexible and team-oriented approach will be essential as we navigate this new chapter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily care for one child at a time (baby or toddler), depending on needs

  • Age-appropriate activities, outings, and socialisation (parks, playgroups, classes)

  • Child-related housekeeping:

    • Meal prep and tidying up after meals

    • Toy rotation and play space organisation

    • Occasional children’s laundry

  • Supporting gentle routines and development

  • Keeping a warm, engaging, and attentive atmosphere

  • Light dog interaction (letting the dog in/out, being comfortable around a large, friendly dog)

Important September Requirement:

Availability at short notice when labour begins in September is essential. This may include overnight care at our home for our toddler during the hospital stay. Please apply only if you can confidently commit to this level of support during this period.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fluent in English

  • Warm, nurturing, and engaging

  • Confident caring for two children under 2

  • Organised, reliable, and proactive

  • Pet-friendly and confident around dogs

  • Open to occasional evening/weekend babysitting and possible family travel

Bonus (but not required):

  • Light housekeeping

  • Cooking (family meals or batch cooking welcome)

  • Dog walking (occasional help appreciated)

This is a lovely long-term opportunity for the right person to become an important part of our family’s journey. We look forward to hearing from you!

We kindly ask that you send your CV to [email protected]. We are going to interview all potential nannies over the next couple weeks (likely initially over video).

Thank-you,

Chiara & Calum

    • I'd also like to highly recommend Niko. He just replaced the extraction fan in our bathroom, having previously installed a new tap for us. Fast, professional and a really great guy.
    • Agree with this. He's stood down from his role in Cabinet having left the Party, but he was elected as a representative of all the constituents in his ward and logic suggests that he should continue to represent them as a councillor for his remaining 3 months. He might wish to stand again, as a Green, in that ward (if he's chosen) and hope that personal loyalty to him might transfer, but that's now the call of his (new) party and him. He will have to balance that with a view about how many of his Labour supporters will feel sufficiently betrayed to continue to support Labour. I suspect, I may be wrong, that he will not have a cabinet position open to him after May (unless the Greens sweep in locally) so presumably he will have to consider his next career move, and whether that's back to full-time primary teaching.
    • The Po on LL was looking a lot cleaner and tidier this morning
    • God forbid it's Labour (or the Tories for that matter
