I've noticed multiple times that there's an (I assume independently operated by some savvy person) car park on Denmark Hill, between that entrance to Ruskin Park and King's A&E. I keep forgetting to check the price/how it works...
Does anyone know the prices of parking here and if getting a space for an hour or two during the day is possible?
(I'm looking for somewhere my mum and dad could park/wait while picking me and new baby up from hospital. One of them can stay in the car but still happy to pay for an hour's parking as be good to give them somewhere specific to aim for)

Or any other recommendations where someone can wait in a car...I'm thinking the roads immediately around just too tricky?

Thanks

I usually park on the road along the top of Ruskin Park if I need to drive to Kings. One side is residents only between 12 and 2, the other is Pay by Phone between 12 and 2 and free the rest of the time. You do sometimes have to park someway down to find a space, but I’ve never not found one  and it’s a nice walk through the park to the hospital.
If whoever I’m picking up is less mobile then I pick them up from the front of the Maudsley. You can’t park there, but it’s a good pick-up/drop-off zone.

Congratulations! In case helpful: we parked on De Crespigny Park almost opposite the entrance to King’s/ next to the Maudsley when coming home with our little one last September. It’s on road parking so relies on availability but you can usually find a space in my experience. It’s either free or pay by phone depending on time/ day/ length of stay.

    • Dulwich College doesn't seem to have issued any statement on its (surprisingly active!) news page, although tbf it's not clear if anyone has asked them to comment since publication of the story. Farage has denied "directly" racially abusing anyone. 🤔 https://www.dulwich.org.uk/news-events/news https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c87lx0981nro
    • Where are the places you need to get to where you are ‘no longer allowed to drive your car’? Because I’m fairy sure you’re allowed to drive to every street in Dulwich. I suspect you’re talking about the fact that a handful of roads have filters that don’t ban cars, that you can still drive to, but restrict some through traffic? If so, that’s not quite the same. Interesting that the filters have encouraged you to switch to a bicycle for some journeys. Think that’s the effect you’ve previously insisted they don’t have.
