Description

This beautifully refurbished garden flat offers space, style, and an unbeatable location. Nestled on a peaceful, neighbourly street, it’s just around the corner from the lively Northcross Road Saturday market, boutique shops, and the Picturehouse cinema on Lordship Lane.

Perfectly suited for a young family, professional couple, or sharers, the property enjoys fantastic transport links. Both East Dulwich and Peckham Rye stations are within walking distance. From Peckham, the London Overground whisks you to Clapham Junction in four stops, Hoxton in seven, or you can reach London Bridge or Victoria in just 9 minutes via British Rail.

Recently refurbished from top to bottom, the home combines period charm with modern comfort. There are new carpets, stylish wood flooring, and a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, 4-ring gas hob, electric oven, large integrated fridge freezer, and Candy washer/dryer. The spacious eat-in kitchen opens directly onto a private, south-facing garden — perfect for summer barbecues. The garden features low-maintenance Astroturf, side access, and a shed ideal for bike storage.

The property is double glazed, with an energy-efficient boiler and low-energy lighting to help keep bills low. All three bedrooms are light and airy: two generous doubles and a third room ideal for a single bed, home office, or nursery. The modern bathroom features a bathtub with overhead shower, heated chrome towel rail, and a stylish vanity with Hollywood lighting.

The Location

You’ll be moments from both the vibrant bustle of Peckham High Street (Lidl, Morrisons, Primark, and more) and the relaxed, family-friendly vibe of East Dulwich, with Sainsbury’s on Dog Kennel Hill. High-quality local shops are on your doorstep, including Marks & Spencer Foodhall, William Rose Butchers, Moxon’s Fishmongers, and Franklins Farm Shop.

East Dulwich is renowned for its excellent dining scene — from the celebrated Ganapati and Artusi to The Begging Bowl, Yama Momo, and cosy pubs like The Great Exhibition, The Gowlett Arms, and The Victoria Inn.

Recreational options are plentiful, with Peckham Rye Park, Dulwich Park, and Goose Green Leisure Centre all close by. For entertainment, enjoy the Lordship Lane Picturehouse, Peckhamplex Cinema, the Bussey Building arts venue, and a rich local culture including the South London Gallery and Dulwich Picture Gallery.

    • The BBC is one of the finest, if not the finest, broadcasters in the world.  They have been admired by many across the world for their journalism.  There have been numerous arrests since their recent expose on convenience shops that cover ups for criminals - money laundering, contraband,  illegal workers and the like. By no means perfect and some of what they have done in the modern world is questionable - the website often comes across as tabloid or sensationalist, as do some of their documentaries, and at times it is full of low grade game shows, fly on the wall etc which bring the punters and money, including overseas, in but is not quality TV.  In their desperation for 'balance' they've given too much air time and credibility to some more extreme views, which contributed to Brexit and some of the rise in right wing parties.  I wish they'd say 'the convicted criminal' every time they talk about Yaxley Lenon. The programme was clumsy, why it didn't go through proper clearance including the lawyers, I don't know.  But it created zero stir at the time. Zero.  And had no impact on the election, so Trump has no case.  I hope they don't cave in like many of the US corporations and media.  Oh and well done to South Park using the small p*nis defence in ridiculing him. What I expect is as the Beeb is pretty centrist in it;s reporting in riles some of those who thrive on the toxic populism we have seen since Trump mark 1 and Brexit.  How sad.
    • I understand from Pao that they are taking a short break but will be re-opening on Tuesday 25th November and also that there will be a sign in the window tomorrow, by way of confirmation. Meanwhile, greatly  missed!
