A post to remind all to be vigilant cycling, particularly on side streets, but also a call for any images from ring doorbells on Nutbrook street and surrounding streets

This happened today, 25th Sept ‘25, between 12:00 and 12:05

I was cycling down Nutbrook street and 2 males (one on black e-bike and one behind on e-scooter) stopped me in my tracks and attempted to steal my bike.

I am a woman and I was wearing black jogging bottoms, black jumper, black rucksack, sunglasses and my hair was tied up. I was cycling a grey Brompton.

The first male was black, wearing all black and had a black face covering on. He was cycling a black bike and said “can you stop your bike” before crashing it on the road right in front of me, causing me to stop.

The second was olive skinned and dark haired, wearing a grey T-shirt and blue jeans, riding an e-scooter.

We were travelling in the direction of Adys road and this happened about halfway down Nutbrook street. They fled after I called over for help from a house of builders. I saw them 20 minutes later on East Dulwich Grove, riding towards goose green round about, then turned right along grove vale at 12:25 (photo attatched). They had acquired another male on the scooter.

I will update this post with the crime number when I receive it, in case any one has any information.

    • Following on from Sue's post, this document looks useful as a single information source about the continuation of the Poundland brand:   https://www.pepcogroup.eu/media-news/pepco-group-completes-sale-of-poundland/.  From it I get that Pepco, the pre-sale parent company of Poundland, will have a minority share in the business (the CH record for the acquiring company seems to me consistent with that) and that "Under this new ownership, the business will be led by Barry Williams, currently Managing Director of Poundland. The business will continue to operate under the Poundland brand in the United Kingdom (and under the Dealz brand in the Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland)."
    • That was my question about Ed Davey and has he lost the plot? Are you a Lib Dem supporter? What do you think about his speech?
