I think you'll find the majority of those in this country think she's screwed up the economy good and proper. Only those who are totally loyal to that Party will think she's done good when the facts and figures show she's done bad.

I'm curious how you came to this conclusion: did you analyse the raw data yourself or are you relying on cherry picked interpretations in the right wing press? I can only think how much worse it would be if the Tories were still in power.

Like cancerian, my suspicion would be that jazzer doesn’t just rely on “right wing press” but “does his own research” on some unsavoury online quarters

they never back anything up, never engage in good faith, just endless spouting of meaningless talking points coupled with defensive “I have an opinion!!!” And a smidge of conspiracy (“you all know each other and gang up on anyone who doesn’t share your opinion”

just endlessly, boringly wearisome

All you have to do is listen to the news, see you tube, current affairs programmes. But hey, keep wearing those blinkers and believing in the unbelievable and deny all you like. The facts and figures on 26/11 when Reeves replicates the titanic hitting an ice berg, but this one will be the financial ice berg of all financial ice bergs, unless its one big, gigantic and enormous bluff she's playing. Can not see that being the case.

the truth will be exposed on the 26/11

Listen to what others, friends and neighbours say. No one has a good word to say about Reeves, Starmer, Lammy, Philipson, Streeting. Or if they do, they don't express it because they're embarrassed.

If my understanding is correct, David Lammy asserted that Farage "flirted with the Hitler Youth".

This doesn't quite compute because the Hitler Youth ceased to exist in 1945 with the end of WW2 whereas Farage was not born until 1964.

Maybe Lammy confused the Hitler Youth with the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) because Farage was member of the CCF during his time at Dulwich College.

Having informed us that Henry V11 succeeded Henry V111, we cannot but conclude that arithmetic was never Lammy's strongest suit. Then again,  on a question on history, he claimed that Marie Antoinette won a Nobel prize

Your understanding is incorrect.  Lammy was repeating an old tutor of farage who recalled him singing hitler youth songs. No need for this to contemporaneous with hitler being alive

but easier to suggest Lammy at fault that reckon with what is staring us in the face with farage eh?

Impossible to have a conversation with this level of nuts

doesn’t help when they keep promising never to engage and then get all upset when they do

let’s at you are right (and that means ignoring a whole decade plus of evidence just so you can cherry pick) and Reeve’s single handedly tasks the country next month

who clears up? The only people you quote happen to think argentinas tinpot leader is the solution - so I don’t see how that works

think this thread shout return to the subject is Lammy getting the boot?

Starmer's busy with his first proper real crisis in 14 months and is holding a COBRA meeting, rightly so. Doing the right thing.

that last time someone said "return to topic" I pointed out there was no topic, Lammy is not getting the boot and he didn't say anything disgraceful

But GUESS WHO waded in anyway and took it off in another direction talking about STARMERGEDDON and REEVESAGEDDON

It was you you daft gobshite

the thread topic is: Has David Lammy lost his job? Several days later the answer remains no. So "get back on topic" means the end of the thread. Which is fine. But don't go around screaming the sky is falling DOWNAGEDDON!!!!! and then when called out go all "anyway back on topic!"

    • Hey, I am on the first floor and I am directly impacted if roof leaks. We got a roofing company to do repair work which was supposed to be guaranteed. However, when it started leaking again, we were informed that the guarantee is just for a new roof and not repair work. Each time the company that did the repair work came out again over the next few years, we had to pay additional amounts. The roof continues to leak, so I have just organised another company to fix the roof instead, as the guarantee doesn't mean anything.

    • I've been thinking about hosting a fun casino night and came across some interesting ideas. If anyone is looking for casino game hire, I found a great resource at mrpunter that seems to offer a variety of options. Renting a table or a complete set could really elevate the party atmosphere, and it sounds like a good way to add some excitement to gatherings. Plus, it’s nice to support local businesses while having a blast with friends! If anyone has more tips or experiences with this, I'd love to hear about them!
    • Danny re-tiled and generally cleaned up the roof tiles on our front bay in SE22 a few weeks ago. He was fairly priced, and although the scope of the work changed slightly (something we couldn't have foreseen before removing the existing tiles), the price remained the same for the job. He and a colleague worked hard for three days (one more than initially planned) through pretty grim weather. With anything unexpected, he came to me with solutions rather than problems. They were polite, courteous, and left the site as tidy as they could after cutting roof tiles in the driving rain!
