tiff2017
I got this beautiful antique bureau desk (my guess is late 1800s) from someone else on EDF a year ago for my daughter who longed for one of these - but sadly her tastes have now changed, and our place is too small to keep it (weeps) It's very old, and unfortunately the hinge that keeps the desk bit up recently snapped. It would be very easy to mend, but you'd need to get hold of the right size replacement - I've been planning to ring around antique restorers for their advice, as I'm sure there'll be someone who still manufactures these. we've been using it, with the broken hinge, but that's not sustainable long term! It's a beautiful piece, in otherwise really lovely condition and had been very well cared for by the previous owner. size; 29.5cm wide, 16cm deep, 37cm high. collect from near Sunray gardens.
