ACA PRESS RELEASE 7 October.docxACA QR Code and Link for Crowdjustice.pages

I hope this is of interest!.. so many locals outraged and supportive it's been a joy to help run this so far successful campaign!

A stand has to be taken against voracious developers and supine councils!

I used to direct Grand Designs on the telly.. so saw a lot of bad building.. trust me.. these are BAD!😂

So what do you want to see happen in the site ? The developer has to make money so increasing social housing may not be financially viable and we 100% need more accommodation locally.

Also the quote that it will be used by people as second homes is a bit strange, I would have suspected that would be the opposite as people might look to the countryside for a second home, not a semi run down town centre.

For future, can you attach files as PDFs not word documents as my firewall blocks Word downloads due to increased risk of carrying hidden payloads.

FWIW, I downloaded the file named ACA PRESS RELEASE 7 October.docx, using its link https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=121617&key=2ad3b20cf9d62e82315a3607eee83ec7 at 17:08 and submitted it to https://virusscan.jotti.org/en-US/scan-file# , which reported "Found nothing".

I then uploaded  it to https://acrobat.adobe.com/gb/en/word-to-pdf, and saved the PDF version that created as file ACA+PRESS+RELEASE+7+October.pdf, which I now attach.

Added: the second file attached in the OP turns out to be another Word document, containing a QR code image and a link to https://www.crowdjustice.com/case/acapeckham/.  I don't understand why this link couldn't have simply been included in the OP.

PS Apologies.  I've removed the attached PDF file.  It's an incomplete copy of the  Word file. I'd failed to create a free account with Adobe.  Several online Word to PDF converters are easily findable via google.

PPS: File reattached as was ok after all.

    • I don't mind fireworks going off for NYE at midnight but I don't actually understand why they are still going off at 1am, 2am, 3am!
    • I suppose all these issues that need addressing are a reflection of the times we live in. Important and necessary but somehow destroy the underlying spirit.
    • Do you know who organised and ran it? Because it must have been quite a lot of work. Who kept track of the credits? What safeguards were they? Was there a lower age limit eg over 18? Was insurance needed? ID? Who checked it? What was the situation if somebody was injured while working in your house or garden? What if someone broke or stole something? What if someone in your house was molested or attacked? What if you weren't happy with the standard of work? Sorry to be gloomy, but whilst this sounds a great idea in theory, in common with many people I know I've had several  bad experiences with supposedly professional tradespeople, let alone someone who wasn't doing it for a living.
    • I think the Brixton Pound lives on, so there must be some kind of appetite for it, but I'm afraid I doubt it would be very useful for me.
