Lamusica
I need to fit a ypiece to add a dishwasher for water input. Is A the red arrow likely to be the input for my washing machine? So I need to put the Y piece there? Seems weird it’s by the u bend…. George Orwell
Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣. Lamusica
Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe… I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/368394-advice-plumbing-dishwasher/#findComment-1723443 Share on other sites

George Orwell
If it’s the supply you want then it’s nothing at all to do with your items A & B. Lamusica
Thanks. I just turned water off at mains and got someone strong to attempt to twist the nozzle behind the chrome threaded valve, but it wouldn't budge Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/368394-advice-plumbing-dishwasher/#findComment-1723501 Share on other sites
