I believe it is solid wood yes, im not sure if it is laminated though. You are welcome to come and view it next week.  I believe the end piece seperates.

Hi there,  So the exact measurements of the shelves are:

Height from floor up including the legs - 222cm.

Main shelf unit - 210cm wide.

Corner shelf unit - 70cm wide.

Depth going back to wall - 31cm.

Each shelf inside - 68cm by 28 cm.
