Yoga and Creative Journaling In the Tender Terrain of New Motherhood
New Mama Nurture Workshop  Tuesday 11th November, 2-4pm  at Oru Dulwich

New motherhood can feel like landing on another planet. There’s so much to adjust to - physically, emotionally, and psychologically - as you recover from birth and find your footing in this tender new landscape of life with your baby: the journey from “me” to “we.”

Join Tiffy (yoga teacher and postnatal doula) and special guest Ellie Blatchley (art therapist specialising in perinatal support) for a nurturing session lovingly created for new mamas stepping into their first weeks and months of motherhood.

Tiffy will guide a gentle yoga and mindfulness practice to help you reconnect with your changing body, support recovery, and safely rebuild strength. Ellie will lead a creative journaling practice - a space to pause, reflect, and connect with yourself in this tender season of early motherhood. Through a guided process, you’ll be invited to explore your experiences and make space for your story, your emotions, and your unfolding journey as a mother.

The combination of mindful movement and creative expression offers a beautiful opportunity to pause and explore what it means to find your footing in this transformative season. There’s no need to be “artistic” - it’s all about curiosity, not perfection.

After the workshop, stay for a soft ending: time to chat, connect with other mamas, meet their babies, and enjoy a cup of tea and a sweet treat together.

What to bring:
• Journaling materials will be provided, but bring your favourite journal if you prefer.
• Wear loose, comfortable clothing you can move easily in.
• Mats and props will be provided.
• Bring anything you need for your baby - feeding, cuddling, and comforting are all welcome.

Any questions, please get in touch.

There are still a few spaces left if you’d like to join us. It’s a really cosy, creative afternoon for new mums: gentle postpartum yoga, simple journaling (no need to be ‘artistic’), and lots of space to go at your own pace with your baby. Would love to welcome you in if it you can join us. Reach out with any questions

Warmly
Tiffy

    • Have been to both pubs in the evenings - whilst fine if there is only a couple of you but  quickly gets full up and noisy. It will be a Friday evening - the only time everyone can make it due to work commitments.  We went to Maria's Tortillas next to the Picture House last time and the food there was great for everyone, although we did not have the 10 and 12 year olds with us that time. I am hoping that the Persian restaurant  opposite Grove Tavern will be opening in the next 3 weeks as this would be ideal.  I tend to stick to fish, chicken and veggie meals.
    • Yes, but only until around 8pm from what i can tell!
    • I like the use of the world real estate, something we don't tend to use this side of the pond unless we are talking large pieces of land.  I understand that real estate does cover individual properties. Perhaps estate agents used to be known as real estate agents.  Let's ask AI Ah, it started when they were involved in selling the estates of the landed gentry, and then moved into the mass property market.
    • The craziest thing is there’s only one session in the morning on weekends now so it’s always MENTAL
