Recommendation - Loft Conversion

We wanted to convert our loft quickly and with as little disruption as possible as I was expecting my first baby. We chose ?HamiltonWalters? because their price was competitive and they seemed very professional in their attitude, but also because the team just seemed incredibly nice. They started work when they said they would and they got the job done in time for baby?s arrival with the minimum of fuss and disruption. They were extremely considerate and what really impressed us was that Lenny was always available to answer our questions, no matter how inane they were. They did an excellent job and we love our new loft space.

I am very pleased with the end result. Lenny did a great job.

Before and after pictures show exactly how much work was carried out and how much better my loft now looks! This is a genuine picture of my bathroom... please see further attachments if you are still sceptical... I think that will answer all your snide comments.

Thanks

Miffski, some people are sceptical when someone joins the forum just to post a recommendation. I think thats really harsh as I'm sure you have lived in Dulwich for years, have followed the forum for ages but have never been excited enough before to open a forum account.

People do post false recommendations on here, and I think this company in particular has been recommended by multiple first time posters. Sorry to raise suspicions Miffski, but it can and does happen.

On a related note, I had been hoping to get an extension done (hence keeping an eye on recommendations on here), but it looks like planning will be turned down. I am going to appeal. If I am successful would you be up for showing your new space to potential new hamilton waters customers?

I probably wouldn't let people from this forum into my home if I?m honest. Buuut if you get in touch with Lenny he might be able to help?

He has a good website as well if you type in Hamilton Walters on Google it should just pop up?

Hope the Loft goes well for you and you get that planning! I know it can be a pain!

Thanks

You let lenny in your house and he was presumably a stranger. If someone wanted to see the work then lenny could come with them (i'm sure you also let lennys team in who were starngers) If i went out of my way to set up an account to say what a good job someone had done I would expect people to ask to see it. Thats kind of the point of the forum to avoid false posters so you dont get unscrupulous types who resort to lying on forums to get work. Are you actually in ED

Lenny is on Trust a trader and is a registered builder...A little more trustworthy than the people you come across on forums.

I have looked at other posts on here for recommendations and haven?t seen any requests to visit people?s homes. I wouldn't have posted if that was the case!

This forum seems a little too paranoid for me, I won't be bothering in future, it's more hasstle than it?s worth by the looks of it.

    • Highly recommend Dulwich Eco Gardening.  When he came to quote Saied said he’d give our garden back so we could decide what we do next.  Under two weeks of hard work from Saied and Mo and we have the garden back and can see paving I’d forgotten about. Not only did Saied remove our very overgrown greenery. Nature had taken over. He also took back to our fence line overgrown ivy, apple and pear trees and and dealt with a neighbours bamboo that had invaded our garden.  We are now going to get quotes for what we do next so those quoting will be able to see the space.  Saied has suggested someone to quote and will be coming back when he does in case he has any questions or they can work together.  I thought Saied would be a good choice and he was. Quotes from others didn’t leave me with confidence for the end result. That was never a concern with Saied.
    • Having a BBQ (fingers crossed) in 2 weeks and need a small BBQ for veggie bits and any spare benches or garden tables and chairs to borrow to add to mine. Any going? Thanks in advance...
    • Oh dear, hope you are OK, I've had it three times and it was worse each time, but not a patch on many of those who got it before they vac' role out. Not commenting on the discussion as I got confused many days ago beyond the reminder that Corbyn would not compromise and the harm that could lead to him, the party and regards Brexit pre and post referendum the country.  Starmer goes too far the other way at times.
    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the mental  energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to be able to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in both  my posts and other people's, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
