Walking route from East Dulwich to Catford?

Avoiding the south circular as much as possible. From SE22 / SE23 border, what route would you take for maximum pleasantness and minimum roadside queuing traffic?

I cycled that way recently (actually went on to the Perry Vale industrial estate) and went through Peckham Rye / Nunhead / Crofton Park / Ladywell Fields. It brings you out by Catford Bridge station. 

It was quite residential and quite pleasant. You could make it greener on foot going through Camberwell New Cemetery rather than Nunhead

up forest Hill road to Crofton park/Brockley rise and straight through the back streets?
