Mid-century Pair of CTC Eastern European Dining Chairs

For sale a pair of Mid-century CTC Romanian manufactured Dining Chairs - £50

These chairs are stamped, one with CTC mark and the other with 'Made in Romania'. I believe they were produced in the 70s for both domestic use and export to the European market, and made by a state run furniture manufacturing co-operative during the Communist era, with utilitarian design and durable functional use.

The chairs are similar to Ercol dining chairs in style and are in an unrestored original condition. There are a few paint splashes on one, and the original varnish is worn and scratched in places on both (see photos), but they are incredibly solid, quite heavy weight and so in great structural condition.
