Please be cautious of a woman walking two Border Collies off-lead on Peckham Rye. When my husband encountered her she shouted to warn him that one of them “didn’t like puppies.” Unfortunately, before he could react, her dog attacked our 6-month-old puppy.

As a result, we are now currently up to £1,000 in vet bills; three of his newly grown adult teeth had to be removed so he is missing 3 of his 4 front teeth now, and he has been left with a hole in the bone of his palate which needs to be monitored to see if it will heal.  My kids are devastated and the puppy ( who we have been training really well so isnt badly behaved or agro with dogs ) is very unwell.

I really wish that dogs known to be aggressive, or who do not reliably respond to recall, were kept on a lead to prevent incidents like this

This is awful..I'm so sorry to hear about your poor Pup.

And I totally agree its downright ignorant to let dogs with known behavioral issues and agression towards other dogs (or their owners) to walk the dogs off lead.

I'm really upset and angry about this.
