Mural on Barry Road....gone

Did anyone know that the large mural overlooking the Plough car park was going to be obliterated?

It was the second mural on the site, perhaps it will be replaced by a new one. Don't think we can look on any of these murals as permanent fixtures.

I was told that there was a problem with the wall that needed fixing. There were a few cracks cemented over which did spoil the mural a fair bit once the repair work had been done so maybe the owner decided to not leave it looking spoilt or perhaps the repair work necessitated a special paint job? 
Mad C was the artist. Feel free to look her up and let her know (though she may have been made aware of the plans anyway).

Didn't the same thing happen when the bee mural was there which eventually led to the second mural being painted?

The building is having major repairs to it, the tenants there have had problems for a considerable time.

I hadn’t noticed it had been painted over.  Looking her up, the artist, Mad C, seems to have quite an international reputation. I found the bee that was there before a bit creepy.
