I  received TWO Pcns from a camera at junction of  Burbage and Turrney Roads  dated 7th Jan. They are 1 minute apart. The camera is obviously  faulty. I have written to Southwark with copies of eeverything but have been ignored.  Soon I shall be up for fines totalling £320. What to do??

  • Joe changed the title to Two PCNs from camera at junction of Burbage and Turrney Roads

The same thing happened to my wife - not at that junction but another also in Southwark. They simply say that if there were two pictures there were two offences, and you're bang to rights. My wife was recovering an error she knew she'd made - she should have just driven through and then she'd only have triggered the camera once. Southwark are greedy b@st@rds - but then we knew that anyway.

Has it ever been clearly stated at what stage of the representation-submssion  -> appeal-submission  -> tribunal-appeal  process  the Southwark part passes to council officers rather than to the outsourced PCN-issuing company?   I tend to assume it would be very early on, but can't be sure.

When I was incorrectly ticketed three times in the same place in one week, my first appeal was rejected on each ticket.  It was only when I emailed Southwark to tell them I was taking them to tribunal and would they like to withdraw the PCNs before tribunal that they withdrew them.  So I'm assuming they only get involved after the first appeal.
