Hi, my name is Ella!

As a birth and postnatal doula, I work with South-East London-based families during pregnancy, birth and the fourth trimester, providing personalised care to ensure you feel seen, held, and supported throughout your journey. My approach is warm, intuitive, and evidence-informed — centred on your choices, your comfort, and your unique path into parenthood.

Whether you are preparing for birth or adjusting to life with a newborn, it is my intention to help you feel confident, educated and supported each step of the way. If you would like to find out more about me and my services, please visit my website: http://heldbyella.com

You can fill out the enquiry form on my website to organise a free preliminary chat or email me at [email protected]

Wishing you a lovely day 🙂

    • recently moved to East Dulwich, Have tried Hong Hong but that's it, whats the best chinese??
    • I would suggest ED, particularly the top ends of Upland and Friern Road, where the two roads meet. It's a no through road so basically makes it semi-private with no through traffic other than cyclists. The gardens are larger than your typical ED gardens, you are 1 minute to Peckham Rye park which is a great outside space with 2 great playgrounds and a decent coffee shop, plus the frequent busses up/down Rye Lane (12,197, 63 and 363) can get you to Peckham station in less than 10mins. On top of that you are only 5-7mins walk from Lordship Lane and all that has to offer, plus can easily get to Peckham for its fantastic restaurants (the best in South London) and bars.  You can get to the Dulwich schools driving or on the P13 bus at the end of the road. Or if it's nice weather, walk/bus up Barry Road and then a quick stroll through Dulwich Park.  You probably wouldn't need to pay your top budget either! But could do if you got one of the villas on Rye Lane itself.
    • About to have baby no2 and we gave all our stuff away years ago. Whoops! If anyone is selling any of these, before May 2026 please let me know: - Sebra cot - A plain moses basket - MAM feeding bottles, if they're in good condition   Thanks, can collect
    • I haven't been swimming at Dulwich Leisure for years, and since they reopened including a new website, it seems impossible to book a swim. Has anyone cracked it? I'm not a gym member there, so you'd think their swim timetable was fully viewable, but it isn't. You sort of have to make a guess about exactly which day, time and type of swim, (e.g forcing you to decide whether to click on medium lane 45 or slow lane 60 - madness) before you've even found out if there's any slots generally? And then if you do see a S'pace Available', by the time you click forward, it then always says 'Fully Booked'. No joke, I've been trying and failing for weeks. If you email Southwark Leisure they don't reply. If you call Dulwich Leisure Centre there's no human to answer the phone (and it says voicemail is full). What the --? Do Southwark want us to be healthy or not? Seems madness to me that we live on Crystal Palace Road yet we have to go to Forest Hill Pools to swim. If anyone's cracked it please do shout
