Want to eat out tonight with 2 friends.

All mid 70s and rather deaf 

Where can we go that we can hear eachother speak ?

Rather scared by eating in Greek restaurant in Northcross Road.

Highly recommend The Lordship pub. I take my 85 year old pretty deaf Dad and he has no issues with hearing. Food is excellent.

Check pugwash …recommended place in East Dulwich Grove.. can’t remember name of Italian near bus stop just before where Poundland use  to be..lovely staff, quiet back area..might be abit cold but inside area as well. Only drawback is steep steps to toilet downstairs. Personally like Viet place.. no shouting and toilets on ground floor. Lovely staff but some do have abit of problem understanding English! Someone else also recommended some place  in Underhill Road - open at night. Check Sue, kindly forwarded menu earlier on today. Think Italian place is due Fratelli… went earlier this year and staff were so accommodating with menu, seating etc…

Thank you all SO much for the suggestions. 

I didn't expect such a helpful and well considered response.

Our plans changed and in the end I didn't try any of them but I certainly will in the future. 

You don't know how grateful I am for the help..

The strain and effort involved in dining out because of the background noise really puts me off .

I do have hearing aids but they aren't a great help. And in fact magnify many of them associated sounds in eating establishments.
