We’re selling a beautiful set of six matching antique Chinese carved hardwood screens, dating to the 19th century (1800s).  This is a sad sale — we bought them with our renovation in mind, but sadly they just don’t fit the final layout.

These are full architectural-scale panels, originally used as room dividers, wall screens or decorative inserts. They’d work wonderfully in a characterful home, a creative studio, or a boutique commercial space — or repurposed as striking wall art.

Details:

• Solid hardwood construction (likely elm or similar Chinese hardwood)

• Original aged patina with visible hand-tool marks

• Deep relief carved narrative scenes with multiple figures

• Traditional Chinese geometric fretwork

• Open lattice sections allowing light through

• Excellent carving quality with real depth, movement and expression

• Thickness: approx. 40–50 mm

• Total width side-by-side: approx. 3300 mm

The quality of carving is exceptional — the sort of work that simply isn’t produced affordably today.
