Accidentally bought tickets for matinee performance instead of evening show!  Face value £45 each, would take £100 for all three

This would be a better deal for you: "Sadler's Wells tickets are generally non-refundable unless a performance is cancelled or abandoned. You can exchange tickets for a different date or a credit voucher if requested at least 24 hours before the show, subject to a £3.50 per ticket fee (£21–£31.50 cap)."

Thanks so much for that!  I stopped reading at the 'nonrefundable' part.
