Building work required

I have just moved into a two bed flat in East Dulwich, and the survey said there was a small bit of damp that needed looking at. It seems that this room was the kitchen, and was converted into a bedroom, the false wall put over where the back door was has been done badly, and needs to be urgently redone because it is letting water through - and making the wall and carpet wet.

I have one quote but am looking to get a couple more in before deciding on who to go with - knowing nothing about building i want to ensure i am getting the right thing. Has anyone got any recommendations for people who i should speak to?

Thanks

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
