lots of water, pooh* and wanting to die usually does it for me.

*the verb, obviously not the noun.

stay away from fruit and have dull carbs (bread and rice) once you can stomach it, no flavour.

No miracle cure I'm afraid, that said people bang on about nettle tea as helping somehow.

Kaolin & M. and Andrews both good options (also Milk of Magnesia - is that still around?) - it's the clay-like substance in them.

Like rats not dying when they get poisoned just the once; they eat clay, which some poisons will stick to, so they can pooh the poison out (which is why they are often poisoned over a longer period of time thus building up the tolerances until it's to late and/or heavy-a-dose for them to pooh out)... er, not having an argument with your other half are you?

    • Has anyone else noticed a small notice, midway on the green, metal barricade, that is flagging another event in September? It seems to be another event organiser has been granted a licence to operate in the same area of the park? Does anyone know more? If Cllr Hamvas is around, perhaps she could shed some light on this and any other plans for further commercial exploitation of our precious park, by this council.
    • Anyway, along with most of the (many)  things I'm presently worrying about, it will all sort itself out one way or another when I find myself doing something about it. I have to remind myself that I'm not starving in Gaza or being bombed or living in America. Thanks everyone for your help, all your comments have been very useful, I  have read and  "liked" them all, even if I didn't acknowledge individual posts x
    • I suppose car clubs operate outside of London but it sounds like it requires quite a lot of forward planning. Not sure how helpful if you need to make a last minute journey out of London and are unclear when you will travel back.
    • Thanks, I will investigate. But how does this work if you want to drive out of London and leave the car somewhere else? And then pick.up another car a few days later to drive home?
