Hi,

I just wanted to recommend Alan Coombes, form Kent and Sussex Decorators (http://www.kentandsussexdecorators.co.uk/).

We recently bought a house in ED and I found Alan through a reommendation on here. He re-painted the halls, stairs and landings (3 storey house), front room/diner, 2x bedrooms - all woodwork.

He did a great job for us including making good the walls after they had all been channeled out as the house was re-wired. He was really flexible on dates (due to the last minute re-wiring) and he did the job in record time of 5 days by having 5 men on site so that we could stick to our planned move date.

His work is to a very high standard and he even helped out my father in law who was touching up the bathroom and kitchen.

  Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine.. Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….

  Just not keen to have all these things in my body… having said that, thinking about Covid again as need to come to London to two hospitals for poss overnight stays.
