Oh and the reason I posted this?

Driving along Underhill Road today at 20mph some maniac drives up behind flashing lights, hooting her horn, then overtakes narrowly missing a cyclist before speeding off. To get to the junction with Barry Road ahead of me saving...er 1 second from her journey and nearly killing someone in the process.

These people ought to be banned from driving....for good

It will probably never happen. Why? Because the number of speeding drivers on any one side street is not enough to warrant the time and effort to stop them. If they are lucky, they might catch one or two an hour at a speed check point.

If there was a high number of incidents at a particular place then I'm sure something would be done. But it is too spread out.

    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
    • Erm... guessing it's like any service... so you can receive/be part of something relevant to you in the area where you happen to reside. You don't have to sign up but you might miss out on an excellent Tesco offer or two. 🤷‍♀️

    • happy to buy, but would rather not buy a new one as only need it for a very short time (Hallowe'en). Please let me know if you have one in your cupboard that you don't use.
