Sorted out the mess left behind by another 'handyman' who has been much discussed on here

007 handyman actually does seem to function as a proper business, avoid at all costs anyone who seems to exist only as a mobile number and a handful of edf posts

We've just had 007 with us for the last month, this is the 5th time I've used Victor and his team and they are always brilliant paying so much attention to detail, great quality work, good price and really lovely to have around. This time we had the whole house painted inside a big job with lots of awful paint to get rid of by sanding down, filling holes in walls , ceiling etc and fiddly window / door frames, so much woodwork! Dicky did a fantastic job, super tidy and the finish is lovely, he is a perfectionist and the house looks amazing now. He also fitted all new locks and latches to the windows, new exterior door locks and handles & enlarged the loft opening & made a new hatch. I would recommend 007 highly to anyone they always do a super great quality job. Previously they mended a fence, boxed in a cellar ro give storage, painted the interior and exterior of our previous property and lots of odds & ends. www.007handyman.co.uk

    • I understand that, but I can't really grasp how it works in practice, but never mind 😵‍💫
    • It's local independent shops supporting one another.
    • Adding my recommendation for Niko too. Found his number on here and he came out at short notice on a busy weeknight to help us with a kitchen sink issue that had flooded our kitchen that day. Really helpful, responsive and went out of his way to fit us in and help us out. Very reasonably priced too - would thoroughly recommend!
    • Looks like it! Though according to the OP, they are "golden, hand-crimped parcels  packed with flavour" 😀 I don't understand. Admittedly my brain is functioning at a very low level at the moment. Does that mean various local shops get together and agree to offer a discount to anyone who shows them a receipt from one of the other ones dated the same day? I can't see what's in it for either of them, unless people shop somewhere they wouldn't otherwise have done just to get the discount. Is it for vaguely  linked things, say cheese from a cheese shop, wine from another shop? Showing my age there.  And then suppose it's always the same shop which people go to second to get the discount? What's in it for the first shop? People go there in order to get the discount in the second shop?
