Big Thumbs up for Great Exhibition Sunday Roast

Popped into the GE tonight for a Sunday roast and we we all loved it, 2 roast beef and 1 turkey, loads of meat, veg, roast pots and tones of delicious gravy, all served by happy/helpful staff...totally recommend it.

Sorry that today's experience wasn't as good

4 items that we chose weren't available, though written on the board and still on the board when we left. Given that we has to chose all over again and at least once weren't informed immediately that our choice wasn't there, this meant a very slow dinner. The management might want think that at lunchtime people need to be served promptly in order to get back to work.

The food was fine when it arrived, but the staff didn't seem too bothered.

And can you tke a dog into a restaurant? Someone did or is the GE still a pub?

It's a pub which serves food ....

There are often dogs in there ....

Monday is never a good day to eat anywhere which isn't a dedicated full time restaurant (as opposed to a pub serving meals)

I got taken for a pub supper one Monday by my mother in law, and the choice and food we had was pretty grim.

needless to say when she announced we were all going there for her birthday on a Saturday I groaned and was prepared for another rubbish meal-The meal we had on the saturday was superb,fresh and tasty and the menu was full of tempting choices.
