When it happened they estimated it would be shut for a year.

asbestos and being a listed building are major factors I hear.

What a nightmare. I worry when pubs stay closed for a long time. I hope they get it up and running asap.

It will never be the same again, this is or 'was' the opportunity Dulwich Estates never dreamed of. They were about to be involved with court proceedings re: dispute about closing pub in order to convert upper floors into luxery flats and then wallop the place is flooded out, asbestos is found . English Heritage get involved, ahh no chance of seeing Chelsea v Arsenal for a while.
