Convex
I have a 2yo and 1 due shortly.Thinking about a booster to go on the dining chair rather than a second tripp trapp (we have a newborn set for the tripp trapp so really want to use this for the new baby)Any recommendations? Was thinking the stokke handy sitt but it looks quite small. I'd like something that will last until he us around 3 at least (he is a pretty average size) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/40627-your-thoughts-on-booster-chairs-for-eating/ Share on other sites
crystal7
Stoke handysitts are great but my 2 year old can escape from one by throwing himself around, he is a keen climber though! We ended up getting 2 Tripp Trapps, you only need 1 babyset so a bit cheaper. 4 year old uses hers for drawing etc. too. snowboarder
We also ended up with 2 tripp trapps - still in every day use at nearly 3 and nearly 5.... Convex
That's what the man in the shop advised!Secondary question, at what age did your kids progress from the baby set to just sat on the chair? EmilyPie
My nearly 3yo has a travel booster seat and it is fine. He's had it since s bit before he was 2. It slips a bit but we've tied it to the chair with string and it works fine. He eats at the the table with us and enjoys being able to get on and off it himself. Not a particularly elegant solution but functional and cheap. crystal7
We keep the front bar on for as long as possible! Oldest was about 3 (i.e. When we started to wean the little one) youngest is still using it at 2 but should take it off really as he can climb in and out.
