Wanted:Charity fundraiser for Your local adventure playground

Recommended Posts

Hello there it's the staff here at Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground.

We are looking for someone who can work with us and be our fundraiser as we are really in need of a new building and the funds that will enable us to do this. We do have a budget in order to employ you.

For more information please email Patrick on [email protected]

Here's a little bit more about us:

The Dog Kennel Hill Adventure Playground has been established since the early 1970's and is a free open access adventure playground for children and young people between the ages of 8-16

For over 40 years dkhap has given children and young people the opportunity to play freely and take risk in a safe and stimulating environment with qualified staff on hand to supervise.

The playground is based in East Dulwich South London and is run independently by a management committee made up of local people.

The playground receives its core funding from Southwark Council (Children's Services) and also relies financially on its own fundraising events, applying for grants and donations.

We believe that all children have the right to play irrespective of their race, culture, ability or gender and through the many facets of play, all children can achieve there full potential.

Please check us out on dkhap.org.uk

Thanks so much

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
    • Perry Bamonte from The Cure.. Just 65 years old.
