Need to put parental controls on daughters nexus 7 - help!

Hello - my nearly eight year old daughter has her own google nexus 7 tablet. She uses google chrome for research for homework etc but I was shocked, when looking at her history, to see she's accessed inappropriate content (nothing too horrific thankfully) as she's very curious about certain stuff at the moment. Am trying to put a parental lock on her google chrome but can't seem to do it - first off tried to do it via her settings, but won't bring up the 'restricted user' thing that it's supposed to. Have also tried to install two apps which supposedly lock inappropriate content but now when I go into her google it's still letting me access inappropriate sites - help! Thanks so much for any help

I used NetNanny when my daughter was younger - seemed quite efficient. You could check out CEOP to see what they currently recommend.

You need to set up a Supervised User.

This is no longer limited to Chrome Beta: the latest stable Chrome release lets you add supervised users. They're just like regular Chrome users, except that they're attached to your Google account and you can block sites and check their browsing activity from a Google page. This could be used as a parental control feature and it's more useful if you have a Chromebook.
