Fire place to block off

Hello,

Can anyone recommend someone to help block off a fire place. I'm guessing it may need bricking off a little (you can see it has been done a bit from the photo attached), and then plastering over.

Any suggestions?

Only thing I'd say is make sure you include an air brick when its bricked up otherwise you'll suffer condensation in the chimney space.
