simonethebeaver
Last night's guy swabbed but obviously that result isn't known; he suspected staph. Today's guy just looked and said she wasn't infected and he's come from a country where you see much worse things. Some of the lesions have started to heal over and she's not running a temperature. So that's that. She has blood running out of some of them and we can't get the oral antibiotics into her but it doesn't seem I can do much more. Saffron
How much volume are the oral antibiotics in a single dose? For example 2 mL?You can try using a dropper to give mini-doses, as these are easier to swallow and harder to spit out. For example, give just 0.2-0.5 mL in a single dose, and repeat this every couple of minutes until you've given the entire dose. Definitely worth pursing the results from the swab, just to be sure.So sorry you and your LO are going through this! xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/41324-chicken-pox-remedies/page/2/#findComment-730447 Share on other sites
simonethebeaver
The doses were 10ml but the lovely nurses here have got us a double concentrate from the pharmacy so now only 5ml. We may be able to bribe her into 5ml, but otherwise will try your advice. Thanks! Browncoffee
When my two had CP, a friend recommended a mixture of lavender oil, tea tree oil and almond oil which seems to make all the difference and really reduced the itchiness! Let me know if you would like me to dig up the recipe. Best wishes!
