Taxi: John from Underhill Road

I've lost the number for cabbie John from Underhill Road, does anyone have it? I originally found him via the forum a few years ago when I did an airport trip as he comes highly recommended by forumites.

Sadly John died a number of years ago, he lived round the corner from us and we used him for all of our airport trips.

I am sorry to hear that. I only passed down from where he used to park yesterday and wondered about him. Such a nice person.

He used to take such a lot of pride in his stretch of Underhill - we miss seeing the flowers he used to plant around the trees, and he used to be very generous at helping some of the older residents keeping their hedges trimmed etc. He was always outside washing his cab, which was spotless.

We always think of him around Xmas, he used to decorate his house with lights and a Santa, my kids (even though they were still preschoolers when he died) still remember going to see it.

Definitely a much missed local character.
